1. Describe the Micralite TORO fold mechanism (How do you fold the TORO?) .............(see video at the bottom of the TORO page: http://www.soupedupstrollers.com/baby_strollers/toro_stroller.asp).

Remove the rain cover (if attached) and fold back the canopy (hood).
Ensure that the front wheels are in the unlocked (swivel) position
Locate the 3 small handles (the top one is marked "PRESS") on the back of the stroller
With your left thumb, gently press down on the lowest handle (closest to the brake).
While still pressing down with left thumb, simultaneously "pinch" the middle handle (slight upward motion) & top handle stamped "PRESS" (in downward motion).
This action will release the safety system.
With one continuous, strong motion, PULL the handles up to the top of the stroller. The stroller's front wheels will fold up into the stroller.
(Hint: Pulling the stroller in initially in a backward direction will align the front wheels thereby providing ease in folding action).
Finally, push the seat from the front until a click is heard.
The stroller is now locked in its folded, upright position.
Fold the bumper bar flat by rotating upwards.

Note: As you become more familiar with the fold mechanism on your TORO, you may also be able to close it using just 1 hand.

The Micralite Toro Stroller weighs approximately 18 lbs (8.2kg)

3. How long has the Micralite TORO Stroller been available in the United States?
The Micralite TORO was launched at JPMA in Orlando, Florida in April 2007. It was a finalist in the JPMA 2007 Innovations Award.

The first strollers are available for purchase in the United States in October 2007.

4. What accessories come with the TORO Stroller?
The Micralite TORO stroller comes with:

5-point safety harness
All-weather hood with Zip-on raincover
All-weather foot boot
Shopping basket
Air pump

You can also separately purchase a sun/bug shield, car seat adapter which accommodates both the Graco SNUG RIDE and SAFE SEAT. Stroller chair pads are available fun colors and prints.

5. What accessories come with the Micralite TORO Newborn?
The Newborn system comes with a newborn TORO carrycot** and TORO stroller. The Toro stroller comes wiht a 5-point safety harness, All-weather hood with zip-on raincover, all-weather foot boot, shopping basket and air pump.

** Carrycot comes with adapters that can be used with the Maxi Cosi Mico carseat. The carrycot can be used on the stroller (adapters supplied) or at home.

Suggested usage: from birth up to 6 months old and/or up to 19.8 lbs (9 kg)
Carrycot weight: 9.92 lbs (4.5 kg)

6. What accessories can I purchase that do not come with the TORO stroller or Newborn TORO system?
You can purchase:

Sun/bug shield for the stroller
Maxi Cosi carseat adapters
Graco carseat adapters - accommodates both the Gracy SNUG RIDE and SAFE SEATs
Stroller liner pads in fun colors & prints

7. Does the Micralite TORO stroller conform to US safety standards?
Yes. The Micralite TORO stroller conforms to US ASTM safety standards.

8. Does the Micralite TORO stroller conform to Canadian safety standards?
The Micralite TORO is currently being tested for Canadian safety standards & regulations.

9. Can I purchase the carrycot separately?
No. The carrycot is sold ass part of the Newborn System

10. How long can my baby use the carrycot?
The carrycot is suitable for your baby up to 6 months of age and/or up to 19.9 lbs (9 kg).

11. What is the difference between the TORO stroller system and the TORO Newborn System?
The Micralite TORO Newborn system contains both a TORO stroller + Carrycot.
The Newborn Carrycot is suitable from birth up to 6 months and/or 19.8 lbs, while the TORO stroller is suitable as of 6 months of age OR when your baby is old enough to sit upright, up to a weight of 40 lbs (about 4 yrs of age).

12. Are the accessories the same for both the TORO Stroller and the TORO Newborn system?
Yes.

13. How long have the Micralite TORO strollers been available in Europe?
Micralite TOROs have been available in Europe since Spring 2007

14. In what countries have the Micralite TORO strollers been successful?
Micralite TOROs have been very successful throughout Europe, Japan and Korea.

15. Where are Micralite TOROs from?
Micralite's TORO strollers are designed and engineered in England by the Micralite Company.
Micralite is the same company that manufactures the innovative FASTFOLD stroller "Flexible Transport System".
Manufacturing facilities are located in China.

16. What colors are available for the Micralite TORO?
Black, Orange, Sand. Emerald will be available in February 2008.

17. What car seats can be used with the Micralite TORO in the United States?
Graco SNUG RIDE
Graco SAFE SEAT
Maxi Cosi MICO

18. Do I purchase car seat adapters separately?
Yes, they are a separate purchase, if you don't buy the Newborn System.
Both the Graco & MICO carseat adapters are now available for purchase from our site.
The adapters for the Maxi Cosi MICO are included with the Newborn System as they are the same adapters for the carrycot.

19. When will the Micralite TORO strollers become available in Canada?
As of January 2008, Micralite TORO strollers are now available in Canada.

20. What is the warranty period for the Micralite TORO strollers?
TOROs come with a one-year warranty on Manufacturer's defects (which does not include normal wear and tear) with registration by the original purchaser.
Spare parts are available (contact us for more information).

21. What awards has the Micralite TORO won in the US?
The TORO stroller was a FINALIST at the JPMA 2007 Innovation Awards in Orlando, Florida.

22. How do I clean my Micralite TORO?
Clean the frame with warm water. Pay particular attention to washing away any sand or mud from sliding parts of the frame.
Never use strong detergents or solvents.
Always allow seat & raincover to dry completely before folding.
Clean the seat, hood and raincover with a damp cloth - do not use strong detergents or solvents.

23. What are the weight & height dimensions of the Micralite TORO stroller?
The Micralite TORO stroller weighs approximately 18 lbs (8.2 kg)
It's OPEN size is: 40" H x 35" L x 24" W.
It's FOLDED size is: 39.5" H x 14" L x 16.5" W.
Height of Seat: 19 inches from bottom of seat to the top.

24. What is the baby/toddler weight capacity of the Micralite TORO stroller?
Micralite TORO strollers have been tested up to 40 pounds.

25. How do I travel with my Micralite TORO stroller on an airplane?
As a carry-on which has to be checked at the gate (as is the case with all strollers).

26. Can you adjust the handlebar up for height support?
Yes. You can re-adjust the handle height for user comfort from a height (from floor) of 37 up to 41.7 inches simply by loosening the handlebar with the enclosed Allen Wrench (included in the instructional packet) and retightening to your desired height.

Euro-Baby has a complete parts department from the Micralite TORO stroller.

28. Do the Micralite TORO strollers come with video instructions?
Yes. Refer to the main Micralite TORO stroller page on our site (SoupedUpStrollers.com/baby_stroller/toro_stroller.asp).

29. What kind if safety harness is on the Micralite TORO stroller?
The TORO has a 5-point safety harness.

30. How many recline positions on the Micralite TORO stroller?
The TORO has 3 "click" positions of which one is a fully lie-back reclined position.

31. What is the maximum suggested tire pressure?
As indicated in the instructional brochure: 22 PSI.
Please only use the tire pump provided. Using an air compressor may blow out the inner tubes.
FYI - Rear tires are 11.8 inches; front are 5.9 inches.

32. What are the dimensions of the rear and front tires.
Rear tires are air-filled and 11.8 inches
Front tires are 5.9 inches
